Today he is know as Freddy Mercurie and Mr. Don't forget that they have Rami Malek in the cast, I think when until Dawn was released he wasn't as big as he is today, the price to have him back in the cast must be 20x more than what they paid. Likenesses matter, so much so that oftentimes it's simply not worth the effort. It's why the Minority Report game doesn't have a main character that resembles Tom Cruise, it's why we never saw a rerelease or remaster of Bruce Willis in 'Apocalypse' or the 'Die Hard Trilogy', why there may not be another game in the Judgment series. Likenesses can be extraordinarily expensive.

They just make PC port like with HorizonZeroDawn, SpiderMan, God of War etc. That means renegotiation, and keep in mind, we're not just talking about Hayden Panetierre or Brett Dalton, the cast includes Remi Malek, who is hot off the heels of the most recent James Bond film, and WILL carry a higher price tag on his face. It would've been different had it been a multiplatform release at the time, even if it had only been a timed exclusive, but it wasn't and it's not. When rereleasing the game on another platform Sony not only has to finance the licensing for music and voice talent again, but because the actors lent their likenesses to the character models as well, the cost of rereleasing the game on another platform so many years after the fact might not even be recouped by what they'd potentially make in sales. When contractual obligations were made Supermassive and Sony hired those actors to portray characters in a game specifically for PlayStation. Sony owns Until Dawn, and I don't see them paying the actors all over again after this amount of time just to try and get a few more million copies sold (if they're lucky) on PC. I 100% agree with you on everything else, though. So far, nothing has managed to see the numbers Until Dawn did (though they finally had another hit with House of Ashes), hence why they went back to the slasher drawing board with this title. Furthermore, Supermassive has been trying to recapture that lighting-in-a-bottle success themselves with Their Dark Pictures Anthology. So successful, in fact, that Sony attempted to capitalize on it by having Supermassive make multiple games in the same universe for their PSVR (The Inpatient, Rush of Blood). Sony owns it not supermassive and it didn't do wellīy all accounts, Until Dawn was a success. Originally posted by d0x360:Highly unlikely it will ever come to PC.
